The Matrix is subsidized by ads. One of which is usually stuck up there at the corner, that advertises "Forum Posting Services"

Out of curiosity I clicked on it just to see what it's all about.

Basically it's a service that a forum admin would pay up to $300 to use..some of that money will be paid to people that were obtained from (probably spam) emails, that are PAID to post topics on your board.

Ok, the Matrix is a quiet board, but it is what it is...if more people want to post there, great, if it always stays quiet, thats ok too...but how lame do you have to have to be to pay people to post on your board, people who you don't even know, who don't give a **** about your board and are just there because they are paid to do it?

Here's $10, be my friend.

LMAO.

Interesting.

I suppose if your forum is annexed to a website that sells a product or service, then it might be a good investment in the beginning to have your forum look active.  Other than that, I can't imagine why an Administrator would pay for posters.

Maybe if they were really lonely or something?

Sometimes I feel like going outside and stand on the corner with a wad of cash in my hand and hand it out to passersby and say "would you be my friend?".

I guess that's the same thing.
