The Freecycle thread..for folks that have stuff to give or folks that want stuff

A friend of mine who knew I was having trouble discarding the popup trailer turned me onto the "Freecycle" website, which has locations throughout the US..sort of like Craig's list, only its for people that want to give stuff away so they don't contribute to a landfill, and for folks that need stuff.

It sounds like a really good idea, and it probably is..however I can't believe some of the stuff that people are trying to give away, and some of the things that people are asking for..for free. I will post a few here and add more as they come up. What I didn't realize is that by joining the site, I get emails when new requests and giveaways come out..I got at least 30 emails today already.

This IBM Selectric Typewriter dates to about the mid-1960's and was used
only lightly as a personal machine in a private residence. It is light
green and comes with several typing elements (balls) and a fitted plastic
cover. It looks perfect but makes an unpleasant noise when turned on and
does not type. If that is repaired, I expect that it will work very well.
We used to have an IBM service contract and it had annual maintenance for
a number of years. It is very heavy.

I have a 50gm container of Epakitin and a 60 cap container of Azodyl
for animals with chronic renal failure, both are mostly full. Please
