the best is when baby sauce was flippin the switches... omg it was too cute... he totally knew what he was doing... and you could tell it made his daddy proud.

if hubbs throws switches on the beetle.. I'm gonna kill him... j/k... it's not a hydro car and he knows it.

I found a 62 continental for sale at a reasonable price... I'm trying to convince him to buy it... it's not a convertible... so he probably won't go for it.  the only convertible I've found is in a barn in Wisconsin... getting it here would be a pain in the arse.  Undecided

our boys and their cars... that's why we put up with their crap... we love their cars!

Car repairs are obscenely expensive. I remember, in the early 90's, I had a Ford Escort ZX2 which I really liked. The transmission went. I was on the Garden State Parkway, and private tow trucks aren't allowed. The Parkway's tow service has to take you off the Parkway, where you can transfer the car to your preferred tow truck. Pain in the ass, and the Parkway's truck was MUCHO BUCKS. The whole thing, towing, transmission, etc. was well over 1K which I could ill afford at the time. I also remember having $500. brake jobs - I ALWAYS needed rotors in all my cars until now. (I no longer drive in NJ rush hour.)

Yes...its quite annoying isnt it!  Sorry to hear of your luck!  I think everyone dislikes spending that kind of money on car repairs.  It makes you feel like you should get something more for your money... Undecided  I couldnt imagine driving in NY traffic.  Im hard enough on brakes as it is.  Im a late braker.  Drives my Dad crazy!   Cheesy

I can stop on a smooth dime...though.   Smiley

Well...Im off to pick up my car and a defyant trip to Macy's!   Cheesy
