I set this place up originally as a place for some of the displaced folks from Ojar to hang their hats, although Kermie did a fine job over at Hugthats, I thought that a board with a bit more "pzaz" to it, including an integrated chat room and an arcade would be nice. Chaos40, a guy I have known for a year or two was doing the same thing on another board, but it was taking a really long time and I figured it wasn't going to happen.

So I opened this one, and it actually got off to a fairly good start, with a half dozen actively posting members in the first day or two..but chaos40 approached me and asked me to join forces with him, rather than split up a lot of the folks we both know..so I did, and my coadministrator Jaded came along with me...and chaos40's board took off with a fair amount of success.

But I was the only one doing any real moderating, and being new at it, I was a bit 'heavyhanded', borrowing some techniques from the successful but rather overbearing admins at another very successful forum. I got a lot of compliments and thanks, but also I got a lot of heat...when you are in a position of "authority" you are going to **** some people off.

Eventually, things between chaos40 and myself crashed and burned, he basically told me he doesnt like the way I do things, and to find the '**** door' if I dont like it...so I left, and took a few shots at him in the process.

Now I am banned, permanently, from the board that I helped design and build, and unable to reach several of the online people that I have come to know as friends. The reasons for immediately and permanently banning me with no warning are vague, along the lines of "flaming another administrator even though I was asked to stop".

Right. I think there's a bit more going on there...

Anyway, I hope you find your way over here, friends, and new people to this board. Maybe we can build something here.

Well, there is always hope, wizer. Napoleon managed to escape exile on Elba and raise an army in France.  The Usurper only managed about a hundred days before his Waterloo, however.

You're welcome. I think history has a lot to offer and we can learn much from it. I'll be happy to be a reference for you and provide you with the occasional bit of history when I think it might prove helpful.

I think that it's a good thing when we can learn from our past mistakes as well as the blunders made by others.

After I wrote the initial post on this thread, chaos40/JOOHUNTER and I made peace, and I accepted his offer to return to DO as administrator...that didn't last long...guys who are friends don't always work well together in business...and I quit my admin position and left DO for good.

Unfortunately chaos40 is apparently taking it personally that I quit his board, and he has not only accused Murdock of "colluding with me to compromise the security of his site" but he has also has taken it upon himself to spread lies and bash me on multiple forums.

I'm going to make a final post or two on the matter, and then put that whole mess behind me. I write it here for "closure" and to dispell any false rumors that are being started elsewhere. I include original quotes with links as support for what I contend to be the complete unbiased truth regarding my time on DO.

Joohunter aka chaos40 and myself go back over 2 years..we've been bros, we've trolled numerous boards together...we coadministered 2 forums together (well ok, The Matrix probably doesn't count because I put it on standby after chaos40 invited me to an admin spot on DO rather than opening competing forums at the same time).

I don't always agree with the dude and we have had some epic battles over multiple forums and threads, but one thing I have always said about the guy is that he is a man of his word. I would never have expect him to start spreading lies.

He states that I was "dismissed from daoutskirtz". That's not true. I deleted my account and I left DO because he made what I think are very poor decisions regarding his appointees to the staff positions at DO, all of whom are mods or admins at Trollvalhalla, one of the biggest cesspools full of adolescent losers on the internet.

Maybe you should have your eyes check doc. I said the matrix NOT DO. Boy, you're pretty **** stupid for an idoc.

You got dismissed from the daoutskirtz, remember? Yeah, you remember... your butt is still pretty sore over that one  big laugh

Several weeks ago, a thread was opened on DO on the main boards (not on the admin board as it should have been) about making The Meek One a global moderator on DO.

This was my response:

The fact that I in no way, shape or form want The Meek One anywhere near the controls of this board should be enough to drop this subject, in fact, since the ongoing strife between him and myself is well known, the subject should not have even been raised in the first place, however, since it has, I will say this:

Delegating The Meek One to a moderator position on dautskirtz is akin to assigning a death row inmate a position on a parole board. He is nothing but a troll, who among other things has flamed members, administrators including myself as well as Murdock, numerous times on this board and others. He has hijacked an administrative account, during which time he read my personal messages and replied to them as if he was me, impersonated me to other admins on this board and to other members, banned my dual accounts on this board, and modified certain aspects of my profile and quite possibly the profiles of other members, and may have made undetermined changes to the software on this site.

He has been banned twice due to severe broaches of the TOS of this site which he failed to respect as a member and would be expected to enforce as a moderator. He evaded one ban by registering a "dual" (which normally is grounds for a permanent ban). He spreads numerous lies on these boards with the specific intent of trolling, derailing threads, and starting false rumors to disparage the credibility of other members. The present lie count is 21- click HERE for update on his lies, which include but are not limited to the following: he says he was responsible for 'running me off the boards' as well as 'getting me reinstated as admin' and that moderators of this board 'invade the privacy of it's members by sharing personal messages'. He has stated on two occasions that "both himself and another member are (or are going to be) moderators or administrators of this site". All of his back posts/lies are referenced in the above link and can be clicked on to read in their original context.

For Loopy to even suggest that Meek One be considered as a moderator is one of the most ludicrous things I have ever read...Murdock's insistence that we have an administrative vote on the subject plus her requirement that I present my "opposing arguments" is even worse...however, I will state here and now that the stupidity of people in general never fails to amaze me; although I expected more from my coadministrators of this board.

Murdock and I have been friends and coadministraters on Daoutskirtz for the past month or so..we talked constantly on and off line and I consider her to be a friend...I still do...and I was stunned when she insisted that I argue my point as to why Meek One should not be an admin. My feeling is that as a friend she should have accepted the way I felt about it...she received the same courtesy regarding zeke when he was nominated for global moderator. She didn't want him there, chaos40 dropped the matter completely. Of course, zeke is now a global moderator, apparently with Murdocks blessing...which defies logic....but that's irrelevant here.

(Marie Antoinette is Murdock)
I asked that you and loopy provide information as to why he should and/or shouldn't be made a global.  Loopy had previously requested that we take a vote... and you acted like a spoiled brat... which seems to be continuing. It isn't unreasonable for the admins of this forum to have an open mind and make logical, informed decisions.  Your credibility with me is hanging by a thread.

I was pissed..big time, and laid into her with a barrage of ugly words. It was a quarrel between friends...online lovers even (LOL), and it was none of chaos40's business.

Take whatever is left of "my credibility with you" and shove it up your ass Murdock.

In yet another show of poor board administrating, he announces on the thread that he is TEMPORARILY relieving me of admin duties until I "cooled down".

I've just about had enough of this. Murdock didn't do anything to deserve being called stupid and insulted like this. She simply asked for both sides to provide information as to why they felt Meek should be a global which is a reasonable request despite the negative feelings you harbor towards Meek.

For now, I am removing your administrative abilities until you've cooled your jets ....

I was ok with that at the time. I stuck around for a few days as a regular member...figuring that after things blew over I would probably go back to my administrative position and we would move forward.

UNTIL...I saw that not only was The Meek One made into a global moderator but so were zeke and mags, the 3 most outspoken wizer bashers during my administrative, my 3 biggest adversaries on the entire board, 3 members who were banned for breaking the TOS at least once, in some cases TWICE. After months and months of hard work which chaos40 has acknowledged on many an occasion, it was 1) a huge slap in the face and 2) almost a certainty that DO was going to go down the tubes.

At that point I realized there was nothing left for me there, and I decided to delete my posts (for reasons I explain over at The Matrix), and close my account and leave. I had over 5500 posts there, and it was taking literally hours to remove them all. So I pmd The Duke and asked him to delete my posts and my account, both of which can be done with one or two clicks. Dukie apparently hands it over to chaos40 who deletes my account but leaves my remaining 2500 posts...thanks for nothing. One last request and you can't even get that right.

I simply could not sit back and watch someone I've asked to staff here be attacked like that. Especially since she's not the first one this happened to. I removed Wizer as admin and he asked for his account to be removed shortly thereafter.

I left DO and my administrative position ON MY OWN. That's the story. Cut and dry.

A final quote or two from JOOHUNTER

He confirms that it was my choice to leave Daoutskirtz:

He didn't get his way so he packed up his marbles and left the sandbox.

He acknowledges the time I put into DO:

And like Wizer I invested a ton of personal time coding this place.

I removed chaos40 as admin at The Matrix. Apparently it bothers him more than I realize because he posted about it on DO.

Again, don't take it too hard.

I was removed as admin. Good thing I my kids were home when I found out. It made me realize there is indeed something worth living for.

There you have it folks.

One last point I would like to bring up are some assorted posts made by the admins over at DO, that seem to say that Murdock was removed from her admin spot on DO because of her association with me, and a potential problem with "DO site security".

As if Murdock being my friend would cause her to do something to screw around with DO?

That's ludicrous folks, and even more of a sign that those who are running the show over there have some pretty serious issues, not the least of which is some serious paranoia. I have no intention of returning to DO or causing it "damage" or "breaching the security". Whether the site continues to grow, or turns into yet another cesspool like it's current batch of admins have made out of trollvalhalla is of no concern to me at this time. But of course I would be lying if I didn't say I would be left with an immense feeling of satisfaction to see the place go down the tubes due to the poor administrating over there...not because of something I did...

The paranoia is amazing, isn't it? I've gotten backed up against a wall a couple of times myself - example - if someone pm's me someone else's p.i., which I did not request, how can I prove they did such a thing without passing along the p.i. myself?

Been there.

Or if someone insinuates things and tries to get in between me and a friend, also in p.m.'s, how do I let the friend know what this other person is REALLY all about? I can't.

Been there.  This one really hurt. And there's just not a damn thing I can do about it. I have "protected my enemies" on boards for WAY to long out of ethics. Never again. I simply won't allow such a situation to develop. This one caught me unawares when I was going through a very hard time several months back. Totally blindsided me. In retrospect, all I have to say is - **** 'em.

Didn't I warn you about escaping exile and setting up imperial rule again? You didn't even last as long a Napoleon after he escaped exile on Elba.

She made her cameo appearance on The Matrix, and now she's gone...for the weekend anyway. She's enjoying the great outdoors.
