You can take your $10 disposable camera or $50,000 of expensive video equipment, wait and wait for the rest of your life, and chances are that you will never get pictures like these.

Most are nonfatal, some are rather humorous. In only one (the blue stunt plane) does there appear to be a fatal outcome.

That one plane looks like sliced bread! For some reason that's freaking me out.
What the hell did that? Maybe it's photoshop.

I am assuming that it's some sort of structural failure and the various sections of the plane came apart at the riveted sections due to extreme forces on the fuselage.

If not that..then yeah, something would have had to slice it up...the propeller from another large airplane perhaps? Would a propeller last long enough to chop cleanly through an airplane like that..seems doubtful.

I am thinking some sort of "accordian-like effect".

"de PLANE", "de PLANE!"

I used to think..why the **** does that little midget get so excited every time the god damn plane shows up. Isn't it like another group every week? You would think it gets old after a while. Is it THAT boring on the freaking island?

The only thing I remember from that show was that midget, Tattoo, yelling "de PLANE, de PLANE!"  it's was so rediculous.... it's funny.

who names their baby Tattoo?  It wasn't difficult enough being a midget... that had to pin him with that name too?

No, it's a taxi-ing mishap where another twin-engine plane accidentally ran up on this plane from five o'clock.  The cuts were made by the prop of the unseen plane, which was larger than the plane in the pics.  I've seen it happen before.

That explanation makes sense. I can't imagine what happened to those who were sitting in the rear of the passenger compartment...It probably happened so quickly they didn't have time to move out of the way..."chop chop"....

I don't see any blood.  It's okay to assume that the passenger cabin was empty at the time.  Hell, the plane might even have been parked.  And the wing of the stricken plane stopped the oncoming plane, so the prop strikes stopped short of the pilots' cabin.
