I live on a busy 4 lane road, in an apartment over my office. Hopefully not for much longer, but I digress.

It's mostly commercial, the only apartments are the few scattered ones over stores such as my own. So I was walking my dog last night and there is a gas station next to my building, then its a corner, then a Citgo station on the other corner. Cop cars everywhere, the place was taped off, and police were walking in and out of the little shack that the gas station attendent hangs out in. I went around the corner, and was coming around the back of the parking lot which is adjacent to the gas station but is part of the Walgreens and separated from the gas station by a fence, which I was trying to peer through because I am nosy. Coming towards me was a dude with a large German Shepard, and of course my dog starts pulling at the leash to go after the big dog to play with it. The guy stops, and says "Take your dog across the street!" Not unfriendly, but firm, and demanding. I of course said...why don't "YOU take YOUR dog across the street since its obviously not a friendly dog.."

And the guy says...(again, firmly but not unfriendly)....(do you want to guess before you read what he said to me?)

"We are conducting a police investigation, please take your dog across the street.".

Oops.

This morning all seems quiet over there, and the station is open. I can find nothing in the news about it.

He should have identified himself as a police officer first. If he wasn't in uniform, how would you know?

He was in uniform...LOL...but it was dark in the parking lot. I guess by him saying "its a police investigation" he was letting me know. Once he said that, and my eyes focused in, there it was.

Maybe you need to get your eyes checked.
